Installation using the combination of analog and projection.
“Insect Evolution” is a mixed-media installation created for a 2022 exhibition on the theme of insects. The work combines analog textures and digital projection to explore the overlooked beauty of insect anatomy. Using materials inspired by the surfaces of various species, I constructed a fictional insect by merging different parts into a single, hybrid form. A projected spider adds a digital dimension and animated movement.
The piece invites viewers to reconsider their perceptions of insects to stimulate the discomfort to appreciation.
