Typographic booklet about gender words, translation of an dictionary

ABOUT THE BOOK
Unlogical” is a playful book about grammatical gender in Dutch. Like in French, nouns in Dutch have a gender: masculine, feminine, or neuter. I always found this strange, and even after researching, it still didn’t make much sense. That explains the title Unlogical. Most people don’t  know the correct gender of many words. I collected various nouns and spread them typographically across the book. Readers can guess the gender, then check the small symbol at the bottom of each page for the answer. The key at the end explains what each symbol means. The design is simple, but the idea is a bit more complex, just like the topic for me. The book is made from cardboard pages, like a children’s book.”
